Hi everyone.

I am an organic gardener here in Arlington Texas. I work at a local organic gardening business here in Arlington.

My spare time is spent tending to my landscaping and 98 square feet of raised beds. The beds and several small hills have been producing an abundance of vegetables this year. I am enjoying the fresh veggies on a daily basis, and all the pesto I can eat.

I have a beautiful 50+ year old Shumard Oak that shades my home in the morning and produces an abundance of acorns every year. If anyone wants some Acorns let me know. Come Fall I will be giving shopping bags full of them away. I have uncountable baby oak trees that come up every year so I know the acorns are viable. The Shumard is about 70 feet tall, and 26" DBH. It is growing in Houston Black soil. The tree does not require any kind of irrigation to be established from acorn other than what nature provides.

Have a great day!

Hello!
My name is Merri and I live not too far from you in Rendon, in the very central, southernmost edge of Tarrant County.
My husband and I have about 7 acres that we are ambitiously trying to convert from pasture to gardens! The soil is just awful. The worst. So we are using sheet composting to prepare beds about 18 months before we plan to plant them. We usually cave and plant to soon anyway lol...

I would love some acorns!!!

Thanks, Merri
