Been growing a front yard veggie garden here in DFW for 3 years now, gardening for 7, always following the Dirt Doctors advice. In fact, it's the only gardening advice I follow because it is so relevant to my location and style. I pick so much food each week! Anyway, looking for some advice on a few things and will post occasionally. Thanks!

I also have my edible garden in the side and front yards at my home. The dogs would possibly eat, trample, or dig in a garden in the back, and I find that when the veggies are right there where I enter the house I remember to check for bugs, to check for produce, and to check water levels more consistently. There's a movement called "Edible Estates" that includes a book, the architect of this plan is Fritz Haeg, who you may have heard in interviews a few years ago when the book came out. Fritz has the vegetable garden in the front and Howard has it organic, a good meeting of the minds!
