Is there a good book/booklet that lists what an individual can do to build green or practice energy efficiency in their lives? Like the definitive guidebook.

There are literally hundereds of websites with endless suggestions on what you can do, as an individual, to help make a difference. There is not one definitive voice or resource. Do a Yahoo or Google search on the subject.

Don't forget your lawn when looking for ways to go green at home. There are now commercial services available to replace traditional gas lawn mowing service with clean, zero-emissions mowing. Clean Air Lawn Care uses all rechargeable equipment powered by renewable solar energy to provide full service lawn care. That reduces your carbon footprint to zero on your lawn mowing service and it's quiet too!

I like my reel mower. The energy it uses is my own and it's really not as much of a workout since it is very light weight. It is very quiet and the noise it does make is actually very pleasant, to me. It is important to pick up any twigs, rocks, or other hard objects in the lawn before mowing, but the same applies when using any kind of mower.
