Sitting in front of my computer I heard crows calling loudly. Sounded like they were mobbing a hawk or an owl. I kept glancing out the window to see if I could see anything, and was about to go outside to look around. Just before I got up, I saw a Cooper's Hawk flying across my backyard, grabbing lunch on the fly. It was too fast for me to see what he grabbed, may have been a Blue Jay but not sure. Blue Jays will often join in mobbing crows and owls. Maybe this one was a little close.

As soon as the Cooper's grabbed his meal and flew off, the crows stopped their calling. Guess they knew the hunt was over.
