Post subject:  Know Your Orioles?

Like lot of people, I love the colorful orioles.

There are seven oriole species commonly found in the U.S. and all seven can be seen in Texas. Orchard and Baltimore are the only two normally seen in the eastern U.S. and both species visited my yard last spring. Hope they come back again.

All of the photos are of males. The females of each species are less colorful.
