Most of the Texas Whooping Crane flock has returned to the Texas coast. A great year in Canada produced almost 40 new cranes that have made their way to the area around the Aransas National Wildlife Refuge. Some 266 birds are now in the flock, a new record number.

If you want to see Whopping Cranes, one of the boat trips is the best way, and you'll see lots of other birds on the trip.
