Hummingbirds are migrating through and can use a little extra energy. Having your feeders up late in the year will not prevent the hummingbirds from migrating.

Hurricane Ike forced the cancellation of the Rockport Hummingbird Festival, which was scheduled for the weekend that Ike arrived.

Reports are indicating that many birds, including hummingbirds, are HUNGRY. If you are in the position to put up a feeder or hummingbird feeder in the path of Ike, it may be very well received. Many of normal food sources have no doubt been destroyed by the storm.
