Does anyone out there have experience growing Brugmansia in Central Texas? I want to buy one, but I know they are tropical. They have them on Ebay all the time, but they are always from Florida. |

You may be able to get away with it in a container. Then again, it depends on what species you seek to grow. I have seen beautiful moonflower plants here in North Texas. One was in a friend's yard with protected west exposure. It had been there for a few years. Check out these websites: http://www.brugmansias.org/newtobrugs.html has a good bit of information as to what types of critters might be a problem. Also see http://www.americanbrugmansia-daturasociety.org/ Another rather interesting site: http://www.erowid.org/plants/brugmansia ... nsia.shtml |
