Does anyone know how to contact the Ridglea (west Ft Worth) and Coppell Farmers Markets other than making a special trip? We're considering joining these two markets to offer our BEEF BURGER. Pat |

I can help with the FT. Worth location. Call Ben Walker - 817/763/0193 North Central TX Farmers Market Assoc. Have you checked out the Tarrent Co. Health Dept. requirements? I hope this works for you. It would be nice get your beef close to home! |

Thanks for the info. We were in Ft Worth today and talked with this gentleman at the Farmers Market. We've got to find out what all has to be done to set up here, but until then, if you're interested in the meat, we'll be back in west Ft Worth before 8/15--and in Dallas the week before. Pat |

Fort Worth does not allow meat to be sold at their farmers markets. While I don't have the time or strength to fight this rule, perhaps someone will--someone who lives in the City. (I lived in FW 45 years, but retired to the Farm that we bought in 1975.) Coppell does allow meat to be sold. So we're working on that. This is just an update for anyone who may be interested. I'm in the process of putting together a produce area at my new shop in north Dallas on Skillman. I would LOVE for local organic farmers to bring thier wares to sell. Sorry, not meat, as I am not set up for that. But as far as I know, my produce manager is having trouble finding organic produce to bring in. He's been working with the Dallas Farmers' Market for years, but they only bring in stuff from CA. I've notified the local TOFGA but she's not having much luck getting farmers interested I guess. I'd love for it to be a regular thing, but if it is just once a month, that would be great, too. Please contact me at the store 214-348-3336 if you are interested in selling your produce here. Thanks! Marie |
