I live in SE Edwards County and we have 27 acres of cedar and native oaks. We had a huge hailstorm 2 days ago (May 1st) and it stripped almost all of the leaves from our oak trees and thinned the cedar needles a great amount. Is there anything we should do for the oak trees? Do you think they will regrow their leaves this year?

The cedars are fine I think. I have heard that sometimes this can throw the cycle of the tree off, like it will think that it's fall because it lost it's leaves...etc. This is very true for fruit trees, but oaks... I just don't know. I'm sorry about this. I think they will bounce back because it's still so early in the summer. :D

If they're native oaks, then they've experienced this before and will probably do as they've always done - survive - although it may not be pretty initially.
