I have a small "dry" creek running through my property. It seems like all of my large post oaks that are near the creek are not in stress but dying. They all have their leaves, but they have turned brown and are staying on the tree. What is the best treatment for trees in stress during the drought?

Since the stress has been occurring for awhile now ie: very hard winter for 2 years then the latest summer high temps, hopefully you have been giving them some supplemental water?

I've been seeing the same thing across the country side down by Cayuga, Tx.

100 year old oaks dying while others right next to them seem relatively alright.

In roaming the woods I'd say the hickory got hit the worst. It's been depressing to witness.
