So, the monster home builders in Highland Park have dug up a 25 foot tall, 7-9 inch caliper Sangokaku Japanese Maple, hacking at its roots, scraping up limbs, scraping bark off the trunk, and leaving it bare-rooted in a pile of rubble slated for the dump. :x It was rescued in the wee hours of the night, tucked away in the back yard of a "safe" home of preservationists, and planted in the back yard with the same soil, mulched on top. Three days later, leaves are wilting, of course, turning brown, of course, and water and water three times a day has been its treatment. The Underground Tree Railroad  that pulled the tree from the rubble, replanted this tree needs help saving this tree.....what to do now, Howard, anyone???? What a waste....a 15 or more year old tree that easily could have been saved, now struggles for its life. Too bad about the 100-plus yr old pecan trees that were 100 foot tall that came down....we couldn't save those, but this puppy...has a chance???? Help! :?: :?:

The only thing I could suggest is to drench the roots with Garrett Juice Plus (at half strength in this case) and mycorrhizal fungus. Products like Rhizofuel, Thrive and Plant Success. Do you have any photos of the tree?
