I have some blueberry and blackberry bushes. The birds are already starting to circle around and I am afraid they are going to start getting into the fruit. I can't use a shotgun in the city limits, nor do I want to. LOL

What is a safe and natural way to control the birds from getting at my fruit?

Have you tried anything so far? And how large is the patch of berries?

Not very big yet. About 4 feet long.

I just didn't know what is the NATURAL way.

I suppose the most natural way to scare birds is the old fashioned scarecrow - modernized for today's garden. If you put up a post with an arm and hang from it something like monofilament with old CDs fastened so they twist in the wind, wind chimes, etc., you may find some reduction in bird activity. Supposedly the rubber snake is good for scaring squirrels - it might also work on birds if you put a rubber snake in view or up on a fence or some higher perch.
