I have a couple of crepe myrtles that I need to move a little further away from the house. They've been in the ground for several years. Is there a way to do this without killing the tree?

Yes - wait till the cool part of the year when they're in a dormant state. Be sure not to place them too deep in the ground when you move them; check out the planting tips in the library. This is a good topic for you to call Howard about on his Sunday morning radio program, this topic is likely to be of interest to quite a few people as we approach cooler weather.

I'm in church during that time.

I don't see any crape myrtle planting tips in the library.

Tree transplanting.

It's a three-hour show, from 8-11; surely you're not in church the entire time? Call early and let them know you can't stay on hold long.
