I have a Dynamite Red crape myrtle. It came in a ten gallon bucket and I planted it in the heat of June this year. I have been keeping it well watered, but many of the leaves are turning yellow and falling off. The blooms look great, and it keeps producing new ones, but I cannot keep the leaves green. Am I over/under watering?

the best way to determine if you're watering correctly is to check the soil before you water. Put your finger down into the soil and if it's still wet, then wait another day and recheck. Also make sure you see the root flare on your tree. If you don't then it's planted too deep. A little bit of transplant shock is always a possibility as well, especially in this heat.
