I want to plant some blueberries and need to be sure my soil is acidic enough. Our native soils tend to be on the acidic side, but if I need to acidify, what are the preferred organic methods?

Thanks!
Kitty

Powdered sulfur.

There is also some sulfur in decomposed wood chips, oak leaves, gypsum, apple cider vinegar, and cottonseed meal.

Check with your local county agent. There might be some varieties of blueberry adapted to your area.

Thanks -- I have varieties that are suited to the area and I just got my soil test in today, which says the ph is a little higher than desirable. I have some organic AC vinegar, so this may be the easiest to use. How much do I use, and do I put it in the soil before planting or during planting or after planting?

If the rain ever stops, I'll get these babies in the ground. :D
