We have a 4 year old Oak tree that has a 10-15 degree lean. Could we stake it and try to correct the lean? I am willing to leave it staked for several seasons, if that is needed. Thank you!

Why do you think this tree is leaning? How was it planted (by a landscaper, by a squirrel burying an acorn, by yourselves?) and did it come out of a black plastic nursery pot? What size was it when it was planted (five, 10, or more gallon)?

Is there a reason you want a perfectly bolt-upright tree? I have a 80-year old oak tree that has one trunk stretching 40 feet out away from the base. If the plant grows at an angle, to me that's just more interesting.
