Does anyone have suggestions for places to shop in the Metroplex that have unique plants that won't been found at Calloways? I've been to Shades of Green, Rohdes, Northaven, Green Mama's, Redentas. Others?

I enjoy Weston Gardens in Fort Worth. Along with Redenta's have provided all my landscapping plants.

You've just about coverded them all, Blooming Colors in Coppell and Grapevine may also serve your needs. While they don't deal exclusively in organics, they do have a good knowledge of Natives and do carry H.G. recommended products.

Every spring the Heard Museum in McKinney has a native plant sale. Best selection anywhere and it's tax deductible.

Doan's Nursery in Irving on Beltline. It is run by a nice Asian family and I remeber seeing a breathtaking, flowering ($$$) tree there that they said came from their homeland.

They have lots of greenhouses to look through with many interesting plants. I bought a dwarf elephant ear there about 5 yrs ago that I have never seen anywhere else.

The Fort Worth Botanic Garden will have a Fall Plant Sale, one day only, October 23rd from 9 to 3. They will have many interesting varieties of native and adapted plants. This is a good complement to the HEard sale, because one is in the Spring, and one is in the Fall. Call the Botanic Gardens for details.
