Hello,
I have a multi-trunk Red Oak that is a Home Depot Special. It is fairly small (6 ft. when planted, 8ft. now) and was planted spring '02. One of the three trunks has fared well and has increased in diameter. The other two, haven't done so good. The leafs on these two are much smaller and less healthy than on the one good trunk. Does any one have any advice on how I can improve the health of the weak trunks? Or, is this just going to be a case of "survival of the fittest"?
Thanks for any advice.
