I am not new to gardening but I have never done flowers. I want to grow bouquet flowers in my backyard. I have 3 raised beds and an in ground bed so space is not an issue. Do you have any recommendations on good flowers to start with? I live in central texas so it is hot.
Thanks for the tip.Roses do sound nice. I live in a rental property so I don't know how long I will be here. I am going to plant a wildflower mix (from wildseed farm) in one of my raised beds. What else do you think would be nice but won't take much time to get results out of?
My goal is being able to gift small bouquets to my friends and neighbors.
I had great luck with zinnias (also from Wildseed Farms) last year in South Texas. My wife used them for cut flowers and they lasted a good while. I also had great luck with the Drummond Phlox (it's not really a flower to cut, but was a nice ground cover flower.
