after the high winds we had here in DFW tx area cpl days ago i needed to stake my tomato cages down. thought about some 1/4" iron rods but that would of taken cpl of hours making them, same for wood. i found in Walyworld, some tent stakes 6 for $1.88. they are plastic, but i didn't have to spend time to make any. my work is 10 hrs @day so time is of essence. and i can use them for many yrs. i used 2 to a cage guess i'll see later this week if they hold.

I often drive long stakes next to my cages for added support!
