While vacationing in New England in June I happened to read a short squib in the U.S. News and World Report about research coming out on using cinnamon oil for mosquito repellant. When I got home I bought the cheapest bottle of oil of essence of cinnamon I could find in the local health food store - about $4.50 for an ounce. I spread a small amount on my legs and arms one evening when out on the patio to see if it would work. It worked great
but the smell is very strong and gave me a headache
. However, I'm sensitive to smells and my husband had no such reaction. Maybe some of you out there would be willing to experiment with dilluted formulas and let us all know. I will continue using it also but maybe in smaller amounts.
