I am having difficulty in finding out why my legs and feet are swollen, I have been on water tablets for years and the problem has just got worse.

I seem to be like a house with a leaking ceiling and all they can do is put a bucket under it. Can anyone suggest anything better.

Follow the advice of your cardiologist/doctor. Sit down with your cardiologist and plan out a suitable diet and exercise regiment and follow it religiously. This may not help the swelling in your legs as much as you would like but it is the only practical solution. DO NOT TAKE ANY HERBAL OR ORGANIC SUPPLEMENTS WITHOUT CONSULTING WITH YOUR DOCTORS AND PHARMASIST. I have hauled too many lifeless body’s in the back of my ambulance due to so called safe herbal supplements.

If you have not consulted a physician about your condition drop what ever you are doing right now and get an appointment with a physician.

When you talk to your doctor, make sure they're looking at the whole picture -- many specialists are too focused on their area, forgetting that the body works as a whole. A good naturpoathic doctor may be able to figure out WHY your body is retaining water so badly. One place to start looking for an ND is http://www.naturopathic.org/. Or look for an MD who takes a holistic approach. Where are you located?
