This isn't right in the Dallas/Fort Worth area, but this is a BIG deal for Texas. We now have a licensed raw for retail cow dairy. To boot, they are an all-Jersey, totally GRASS-FED dairy!

This is a BIG DEAL! I have been working with cow dairies (as part of the Weston A Price Foundation Dallas chapter) for years now to make their raw milk available to those who know its nutritional value, and the Texas Health Dept has made it really tough (bordering on impossible) for cow dairies (their rules are less stringent for goat dairies). Ben and Alysha Godfrey have worked really hard and gone to great personal expense to get this licensing, and I hope you'll join me in supporting their efforts.

I, personally, am very greatful for all the work they have done to pave the way for future licensed raw cow milk dairies. I look forward to the day we have other farms like theirs dotting the landscape all across Texas!

Here's to health and the healing goodness of raw, grass-fed milk!

Kathy Harris

Sand Creek Farm ( ) is the FIRST and only licensed raw for retail cow milk dairy in Texas, as well as the only dairy I know of that offers raw milk from purely grass-fed Jersey cows! Their small herd of Jersey cows (with that wonderful high fat, nutrient dense milk) graze on their 40 acre family farm, which is managed with all natural products and farming methods (they even work the farm using real Horse-power!) They are regularly inspected by the Texas Health Dept, and surpass the most stringent guidelines for cleanliness and quality.

They sell raw milk by the gallon, packaged in sterile plastic milk jugs (fresh or frozen), and also offer farm memberships which include other farm products like eggs and seasonal garden and orchard produce. In early 2004, they planted a nice size orchard with cherries, pomegranates, peaches, blackberries, raspberries, blueberries, plumcots, apricots, figs, almonds, walnuts, pecans, many of species of apple trees, kiwi, strawberries, gooseberries, nectarines and much more.
