Ant - Control After Rain
Fire ants will be stirring after the rains.
The first step would be to broadcast dry molasses over the entire site. That alone usually takes care of the problem. It also functions as an organic fertilizer application but the expense of buying other fertilizer can and should be omitted. If any mounds remain, they should be drenched with the Mound Drench mixture. The mix is equal amounts of orange oil, compost tea (or liquid humate) and liquid molasses. Then use 4-6 oz of this concentrate per gallon of water. Put into the center of the mound first, and then splash over the rest of the mound.
