Black Mold

The famous black mold can be controlled with several non-toxic products including baking soda, potassium bicarbonate, cornmeal, hydrogen peroxide and others. Chlorine bleach and other similar products should never be used due to their toxicity and damage to wiring and pipes. Unless the causes of the problem are eliminated, these solutions will be temporary. Causes include poor air circulation, leaks, drainage problems and other moisture producing situations. Black mold has been around forever and is not nearly as big a deal as it has blown into.
