GERBERA DAISY: ( G. jamesoni)



Transvaal Daisy - Dramatically colorful perennial that grows best in cool weather with regular feedings, almost dormant in summer but root hardy if protected or covered. Best in rich fertile well-draining soil, it is a NASA recommended plant to clean air by removing pollutants. This plant crowns at least 1/2 inches  above ground, needs part or afternoon shade in hot areas, must have good drainage, and blooms late winter into spring.  From South Africa
