Hail Storm Texas June 2012

Our Lakewood was one of the primary targets of last night's horrible hail storm. Here's a good site showing some of the damage including disturbing damage to the greens at Lakewood Country Club. That's an especially big deal because the 103 Texas Amateur Championship was supposed to start this morning. What timing! The greens are mess so it will be interesting to see how quickly Mike Plummer and his staff can make the greens playable. As I was expecting, they are a mess.

Recipe for damaged plants:  To 1 gallon of Garrett Juice Plus add 8 ounces of 3 percent hydrogen peroxide (available at drug and grocery stores), 2 ounces of orange oil, and 1 tablespoon of Bio Wash (available online or at local independent garden retailers that stock organic products). Spray the plants thoroughly.
