Jasmine, Confederate Trachelospermum jasminoides (tray-kell-lo-SPER-mum jazz-min-OY-dees)

Evergreen - Sun or shade - Vine, Spacing 3-5 feet

HABIT:  Fast-growing, open, climbing vine, dark green leaves, white flowers in summer. Will bloom in sun or shade. Requires support to climb.

CULTURE:  Well-prepared, well-drained beds. Moderate water and fertilizer needs.

USES:  Climbing vine for fence, trellis, pole, or decorative screen.

PROBLEMS:  Very few. Can get into trees and be a little of a maintenance issue.

NOTES:  Yellow jasmine (T. mandaianum) is lemon scented and even more cold tolerant.
