WOODPECKERS DRILLING HOLES IN TREES

(Hurts trees but there's a cure)

There are those people who should know better, who say that holes drilled in limbs and trunks of trees are just cosmetic and don't hurt the trees. They also say that nothing can be done to stop the damage. That's incorrect on three levels. The drilling of holes and the resulting “bleeding” indeed does hurt and severe cases can kill trees. Secondly, the work of these woodpeckers indicates serious stress in the trees. And it is curable and preventable. Click below for more details and the solutions.
